PASTOR JOHN G. HALLOCK

Our Pastor, Rev. John G. Hallock, serves as pastor/worker-priest of Resurrection Lutheran Church. Pastor Hallock is the son of a Vietnamese immigrant and was raised in a home with family members that were refugees from Vietnam. Family complications when he was 12 years old forced him into foster care, culminating in a group home in Baltimore, MD. Upon graduation, he joined the U.S. Air Force, Security Forces, where God saved him in his second year of service.

He was installed at Resurrection on September 12, 2021. Besides his ministry to the church, he works full-time as a Chaplaincy Services Coordinator employed with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Central Office, Chaplaincy Services Branch. He currently serves as a Chaplain (ACS) for the U.S Coast Guard, Sector Ohio Valley. Pastor Hallock is also passionate about coaching high school football where he mentors student-athletes.

He is married to Carri; they have 4 children and 1 daughter-in-law.

Together with our pastor, our mission is to reach the lost and preach Christ to all those who are broken.

He is a Baltimore Raven fan!
